Julien Sannier

Julien Sannier is sales director UK-EMEA for The Rug Company which is the collaborative effort of 1,662 people. From the spinners and weavers, to the people who deliver and lay the finished rug, the result of all these diverse and individual contributions is a hand knotted rug that will last for generations. Julien works very closely with the interior design community in the UK and Europe.

He started to work in the UK for Roche Bobois in 2002 when the company had only one store in London and was not really established in the country. As commercial manager, he participated in the launch and management of the eight beautiful stores, mainly in London but also in Walton on Thames and Manchester. After nearly 10 years working for Roche Bobois UK, Julien wanted to gain experience within the trade Industry by working closely with interior designers, architects and developers. He joined the ‘The Sofa and Chair Company’, the UK’s leading manufacturer of luxury and bespoke furniture, in 2012 as its commercial director for four years working closely with the leading interior design practices in the UK and Europe.

Julien has a passion for interiors, furniture and craftsmanship and will particularly look at the choice of furniture and furnishing in his judging.
