Trained by the Savoy Group Lord Thurso was a successful 5 star hotelier before becoming CEO of several noted hospitality companies. He was a member of the Savoy PLC board, Deputy Chair of Millennium & Copthorne and on several private company boards. An MP for 14 years as well as the former chairman of VisitScotland and is President of the Institute of Hospitality and the Tourism Society. He serves as HM Lord Lieutenant of Caithness.
