Judging for the Architecture Development Categories

Dr. Ping Xu is the founder and design director of PH Alpha Design (PHA). She is a passionate designer, who has been engaged in architectural design practices in Hong Kong and mainland China for more than two decades and has great insights into commercial architecture projects. She has acted as chief designer or project leader for various building typologies, from large mixed-use developments, shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, apartments, high-rise and low-rise residential complexes to cultural buildings such as schools and libraries. She excels at approaching complex mixed-use projects that integrate malls with commercial, hotel and residential functions. Before founding PHA, Dr. Ping Xu was an executive director of Aedas and played an important role in a number of award-winning design projects. By virtue of sensitivity and years of practice, she has gained unique insights and successful experience in terms of commercial design, which benefits projects a lot. Keeping the cost within a reasonable range, she is good at using the design language to endow architectures with emotion and spirit, hence creating tangible value for clients via excellent designs.
