earl-300x300The Earl of Liverpool is a Hereditary Peer who first took his seat in the House of Lords in 1969. He became an elected Hereditary Peer in 1999 and sits on the Conservative Benches.
In 1974 Lord Liverpool acquired Melbourns Brewery in Stamford and ran the company for 17 years before selling it and setting up Rutland Properties Ltd with other investors. He became chairman of The Rutland Group in 2005. The company has interests in both commercial and residential developments.
Current projects include a scheme to provide 1,800 homes on Dunsfold Airfield in Surrey. Lord Liverpool holds a current helicopter pilot’s licence and flys a Robinson R44.
