Richard Rawlings is an estate agency marketing expert who has 30 years hands-on estate agency and estate agency marketing and training experience gained in the UK and South Africa, and in all markets. He has been described as a world class trainer and recently won the Propertydrum Magazine “Estate Agency Trainer of the Year” award.
Having gained the prestigious “What House?” Magazine “Estate Agency of the Year” Award at the age of 23, he gained an early understanding of the power of publicity in agency and how this can be harnessed to make estate and letting agents more profitable.
Today, Richard runs the specialist marketing and training consultancy Estate Agency Insight, which helps estate agents create real distinction in a crowded marketplace, by providing innovative marketing, publicity, prospecting and training services which leave a meaningful impression on clients and prospects alike.
He continues to investigate the latest innovations in agency technique from around the world and is a highly-regarded agency trainer both here and overseas, with clients in the USA, Australia, Africa, Canada and mainland Europe. He has sat on the Learning Skills Council (Asset Skills) committee that formulated the relevant National Operational Standards.
Richard has appeared on TV and Radio and is a regular contributor to the estate agency trade press, with over 15,000 agents subscribing to his weekly RAT (Rawlings Agency Tips) blog.
Richard frequently presents to delegates at major corporate events, affiliate groups and agency associations, including the prestigious annual National Association of Realtors Association conference in the USA and is a visiting lecturer to MBA students at Oxford Brookes University. He is regarded by many as the UK’s leading authority on radical agency technique, and is a sought-after, entertaining, and challenging public speaker.
He is 51 and has been happily married for 32 years. He has four children and enjoys sailing, mountain walking and good food/wine/company.
